: Psalms 147:10..His pleasure is not in the strength of the horse, nor his delight in the legs of a man;
In 1975 we had 6 girls and 23 boys in our class PG in AU.
Once we went to the Mental Hospital for field work We were talking to the patients. We observed a man working on wood.
After observing him for a while we understood he was working with nothing concrete.
So I asked him. “What are you doing?”
He turned to me and said, “Don’t you know that much? You know you know, there are people on the earth, I am preparing a table for them, only,” he giggled aloud.
I asked him again ” Ok, if you are preparing for people on the earth, then where are you now?”
He answered “Sorga lokam lo”( meaning Heaven) sincerely.
We left him and proceed further, suddenly one woman started to approach me furiously shouting aloud, ” Bag, bag”
I started to run like lightning ” help, help” I ran for life at least 10 minutes from that lady.
Suddenly one of our batch Balaram emerged from nowhere and stood between that lady and me as a shield stretching his arms.
Then security came to my rescue and took that woman away from me.
Baclaran is a pahlman, athletic, good runner, but very short.
I used to tell the gospel to him and other classmates.
There were no differences of caste ,religion between us, in those days. There was value for good behaviour. Some of the boys used to smoke but as soon as they saw me they used to whisper”Hey Leela vathi is coming, hey throw the cigars”
I was praying for my class mates once I got this verse Psalms 147 :10 which I shared with Balaram.
He listened to the word of God carefully.
That’s all. I don’t know where he is now.
God used to speak about my classmates in those days.
[28/07, 2:23 pm] Leelavathi: Why does she follow me, you know? I had a big hand bag on my shoulder. She had a mania of money. She was crazy about money. She looked at the hand bags of everyone and lastly she became mental loving the money of the others.
